Experiencing all of Liadou’s® various knife collections in person might help you decide on the perfect model for you or your loved one. Liadou du Vallon® opened its boutique located in the center of Marcillac-Vallon on December 19, 2022. Liadou® wanted to create a light-filled, minimalist space for showcasing its luxury cutlery. So, we paired up with set designer Olivier Arnaudo to create an “understated, authentic and elegant” boutique that reflected our brand ethos.

The Liadou® pocketknife was created for use inthe vineyards in Marcillac, France. In fact, Liadou® means “binding or tying tool” in Occitan as this knife was used to split grapevine canes in order to tie them to wood stakes. This famous pocketknife is distinguishable thanks to its exceptional razor-shape blade that has a signature downward pointing tip as well as its ergonomic handle. A winegrower in the Aveyron region wouldn’t be caught out in the vineyards without their trusty pocketknife. The modern day Liadou® was awarded the “Fabriqué en Aveyron” label for perpetuating the region’s traditions and craftsmanship. Each of our one-of-a-kind knives is handcrafted in our Marcillac-based artisanal workshop.
